To a Really Useful Engine: Food Story

Happy 3rd Birthday to my little engine. Tomorrow my guy turns three - hard to imagine, it goes by so quickly. But today we celebrate with all his friends and of course, Thomas the Tank Engine.

This is two cakes (three batches of batter!) put together. I used a regular sheet pan/jelly roll pan for the base and the bottom of the Wilton Wonder Mold pan for the mountain. The mountain rocks are chocolate from Dylan's Candy - they look like rocks but taste like M&Ms! They're addictive. The tracks are black whip licorice and KitKat bars. Oh, and those funny little things on the mountain are gummy dinosaurs! Watch out Thomas! And Happy Birthday William.

Love, Mommy
