Probably I should be so tired out from Christmas Eve that I would loath the idea of having more people in the house. Yet somehow the start of a new year seems to be a perfect occasion to celebrate - new possibilities, new beginnings, endings to unhealthy attitudes and vices, etc. It's all good.
So we've invited family to join us on New Year's Day for brunch - just the right meal for the day...not too early in the morning and not too late in the evening. This meal will be served buffet style so that this hostess is not moving around so much and can enjoy company.
